New WJC Leaders to Raise Flag About Europe’s Anti-Semitic Sentiments

The new World Jewish Congress leaders will press the EU leadership to put more effort in ensuring that Jews don’t suffer from anti-Semitic sentiment as a consequence of the Middle East conflict, during talks with EU officials in Brussels next week.

Ronald Lauder and Matthew Bronfman, who have been elected respectively World Jewish Congress (WJC) President and chairman of the WJC governing board earlier this month, are to meet on Monday with European Commission Vice-President Franco Frattini and Wilhelm Schoenfelder, the German ambassador to the EU who represents the current German EU presidency.
