pba: couldn’t one consider beef from cattle that has been corn fed, corn beef? I do know that as a deli meat corn beef doesn’t exist. Also, as far as I know, the only difference between corned beef and pastrami is slightly different seasonings in the curing process. They both originate as beef brisket, ergo they are both red meat.
