I think it would be fair to say that if the coin had been reversed, and the OP had been complaining about a vindictive ex-husband, rather than a vindictive ex-wife, that many of the same people beating up on the OP for “not knowing the ex-wife’s side of the story” would NOT have had the same reaction and cried about “not knowing the ex-husband’s side of the story”.
