There is a story in Talmud Succah in which a people threw esrogim who was mis-poured the nisach hamayim. It does not say anywhere that the Chachomim sanctioned this.
Chazon Ish, Steipler and Rav Shach (and all the Gedolim) said this is not the Derech of the ‘Jews’ -in most cases Jews should not riot- there are exceptions to the rule- and for this you need to ask a Rav.
