You really had to give up a lot. For me everything was much easier. I came to US, when I was not observant, with $191.00 in my packet (leftovers after I paid for all paperwork to get out from country I was born) and 64 lb of luggage (all what I was allowed to take with me). I left everything behind before I became BT. It was nothing to give up any more. The only things I had to change – not appropriate clothes, way of thinking, acting, TV. I even did not have to give up movie, concerts, etc – at that time I didn’t make enough money for it any way. What was really painful – to be rejected by my family. But I found my Father in Haven.
