always, instead of trying to hide your past, be proud! You have accomplished an amazing feat and you should boast rather than try to hide! I am an FFB but it took me many many years to realize that even though I grew up in the same circles as those around me to some I will never measure up. I gave up on trying to and try to associate with people who don’t care about all the shtusim. There will always be some people who will feel they are better, but I have discovered that there are really nice people who do not have a measuring tape when they interact with you and those people are much easier to be around. Choose your friends from those people and you will feel much better about yourself.
