adorable- you say that you remember you heard a rabbi say it, but aren’t sure who. yet, you remember exactly what he said?
Why on earth should I “hang myself” if I am refuting a point that you say? what does hanging myself have to do with anything? it won’t make my statement any less true.
By saying it it is showing you believe it. I hear many things said by all sorts of people, but I don’t repeat what I don’t believe.
and to say: “Molesters make the world a sad place but they are not polluting the world”. You don’t think molesting someone is pollution, you don’t think acting out on one’s basest urges like that is pollution? Don’t tell me your rabbi said that too.
