I agree, nobody knows why…we can try to rationalize it, we can learn from it and try to improve ourselves, build bridges (especially among all the frum yidden), stop all the “infighting…but to say it happened because of this or that is only wide speculation…Only Hashem and perhaps a very select Gadols know for sure…
