IAF Intercepts Unidentified Object Near Dimona Reactor

The IAF on Thursday intercepted an unidentified object near the southern part of the Dead Sea close to the Dimona reactor.

IDF sources said the unmanned object was apparently a balloon that was moving into Israeli territory and the IAF decided to intercept it.

Ynet reports the following: An Israeli air force fighter jet shot down a suspicious aerial object, most likely a balloon which was identified in the south near the Dead Sea on Thursday. The object is unmanned and it was moving around in a closed airspace area, near the nuclear reactor in Dimona. The IAF operated according to procedure.
