This is unusual but good – something innovative for a Shabbos lunch. Or a weeknight dinner…
1 large head romaine lettuce, chopped
4 cups cubed smoked turkey breast
2 pears, sliced thinly
1 avocado, cubed
½ cup pomegranate seeds
½ cup toasted slivered almonds
Dressing:
1/3 cup cider vinegar
¼ cup olive oil
3 tablespoons honey
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
¼ teaspoon pepper
French fried onions for garnish, if desired
In a large bowl, combine all the salad ingredients. Whisk together the dressing ingredients and toss with the salad. If you like, garnish with French fried onions.
