PHOTOS: Update From United Hatzalah In Northern Israel

United Hatzalah volunteers from throughout the country have made their way up north to assist in the myriad of medical and humanitarian needs. 13,000 evacuees were being processed at community centers at the periphery of the affected area. Many people including elderly Russian immigrants were unprepared for the sudden evacuations. Rami Shavit CEO of New Hamashbir Lazarchan was in touch with United Hatzalah Director Zeev Kashash and instructed his New Pharm warehouses to make all their pharmaceutical, baby care and personal hygiene products available to United Hatzalah logistics teams. United Hatzalah medics at the evacuation sites reported to the logistics teams what was needed at each site and volunteers transported and distributed the material as needed. This included everything from heart and diabetes medication to baby formula and diapers.

United Hatzalah Farkas Haifa Division coordinators will remain in close contact with Home Front Command and Fire Control Command centers. The nationwide network of United Hatzalah volunteers remain ready to assist in any fashion possible.
