YWN Israel has just been informed that a 65-year-old woman from Yerushalayim has R”L just drowned in the waters of Ein-Gedi.
Sources tell YWN Israel, that the woman was pulled from the water, and CPR was started, and paramedics attempted to resuscitate her, but were unfortunately unsuccessful.
Police are doing an investigation, and ZAKA personnel are on the scene.
She is reportedly from a well-known family in the Toldos Avrohom Yitzchok Chassidus, and resides in the Meah Shearim area.
UPDATE: YWN Israel has learned that the woman has been identified as Mrs. Gita Frankel A”H, wife of Rav Sholom Shachnah Frankel, one of the Chashuvim in Todos Avrohom Yitzchok. She is also a sister to Hagon Rav Meir Bransdorfer ZATZAL.
