Bayswater, NY – A Yeshiva Bochur was mugged on Sunday evening as he left Shul, YWN has learned.
At approximately 9:00PM on SUnday evening, a 22-year-old Yeshiva student was just leaving Shul after Davening Maariv, when he was stopped by a black male who asked him for a dollar. The victim replied that he had no money on him, and attempted to get into his car. Suddenly, the suspect pulled out a firearm, and demanded that the victim give him his car keys and cell phone. The suspect took the car keys from the victim and fled the scene in the stolen car.
Witnesses who were leaving the Shul at the time, quickly called 911, and officers from the 101 precinct arrived shortly after. They spoke with the victim, and then together with the victim, canvassed the area for the suspect and the stolen car.
Boruch Hashem the victim was unharmed, and police found the car 15 minutes later.
Unfortunately the suspect is still at large and is considered armed and dangerous.
Rabbi Shmaya Weinberg, the Rov of the Shul took extreme involvement in this case along with Detective Shmalenberger of the 101 precinct.

These thugs get a free pass with the current lenient attitudes by all authorities. It’s open season on Jews…we are just not safe anymore.

First the incident in Williamsburg, now this…when will it all end???
I think its time for us to let the chassidim deal with the criminals the good old way that should put an end to it for some time
