Why Rabbanim?? Any yid is responsible to help people who are in trouble. A Rav is not any more responsible than lay leadership or the yid in the shtiebel or synagogue.
If you feel so strongly, corral a few friends, talk up the situation and make a plan!!Hatzlacha!
