I think you have to read your sibling’s cues and follow them. If s/he is private about it, don’t talk about it at all. Just act natural and normal and keep things comfortable. If s/he’s the type who’s very open about it, offer a listening ear and words of chizuk without being judgmental or making them feel like a nebach case.
