You got it right when you said “iran would have much more reason to nuke Israel! if they really need more incentive!”
That is exactly the point.
They do NOT need any additional incentive.
If they could, they WOULD.
If/when they can, they WILL.
That goes for Iran and ALL Israel’s enemies.
We don’t have to worry about making them hate us, they already hate us!
It reminds me of the old dark humor anecdote about WW2.
Two german soldiers (yemach shemam) have rounded up 2 Jews and are bringing them to be transported to a camp.
One Jew whispers to the other “Hey, I know they have guns and we don’t, but there are 2 of them and 2 of us, maybe we should try to jump them!”
His friend whispers back “Don’t make trouble!”.
We are in a similar condition now.
B’derech ha’teva, we could not be in more trouble than we are. All the arabs hate us, want to destroy us, and are working to the best of their ability toward that goal.
We don’t have to worry about making them “really mad”. They are “really mad” already.
What we have to do is fulfill the Torah’s directive of “ha’bah le’hargecha, hashkaiym le’hargo” – when you know someone is aiming to kill you, arise FIRST, and kill HIM!
When we act like “chagavim” (little nothing bugs/grasshoppers – as the meraglim called themselves, doing the terrible chaiyt of being me’vazeh Am Yisrael) we are making a terrible chilul HaSh-m.
