If this is HS, you need to ask yourself why you are in an advanced class when math is not your best subject. If you need a tutor in the subject and cannot keep up, you should ask to be transferred if possible to an easier-paced class. It is NO shame or crime to not be in the advanced class. In fact, you might enjoy math a lot better if you felt more confident in being able to keep up. Have you talked to the teacher about this, not to mention your parents (are THEY the ones who want you in the class)?
