@aries – your right about the throwing up issue….. I know you meant something totally opposite, so let me just inform you that there are teshuvos written about vomiting on Purim. Sounds hard to believe, but there are.
And please state the names of rabbonim who said NOT to get drunk on Purim.
Perhaps they said to drink wine, and not hard liquor (in fact that is what they said, unlike what you are saying).
And the one dais yochid rosh yeshiva who said people should not get drunk, have you ever been to his house on Purim? It seems he doesn’t really mind all that much…..
