no, it is not right for boys to get very drunk and make a big spectacle of themselves on the street. I feel it is very wrong when I see bochurim and young boys SMOKING, “because it’s purim and we can just let loose and do anything we want”.
But there are many people who do the right thing, I am so impressed by the young boys and fathers who go to learn early Purim morning after megillah (called Yeshivas Mordechai) and for the ladies who prepare beautiful purim seudah and daven with kavanah that day and are moser nefesh to hear megillah when there is so much to do!
