Be Happy…

A few VERY important tips for you.

-Arrange as much as you possibly can prior to your arrival in Israel, i.e. regarding a job, housing, schools for your children, etc.

-Most probably it would be wise for you to arrange a “pilot trip” to begin these hachanot BEFORE actually going on aliya.

REMEMBER: kol hatchalot kashot! Before you move, make yourself a promise that you will not even think about leaving and coming back here for AT LEAST one year. Why? Because (even if you have spent time in Israel before) all the major obstacles will hit you in those first 6-12 months, i.e. adjusting to your new home, adjusting to the language (even if you think you speak Hebrew pretty well), adjusting to new schools and friends for your kids, learning where and how to find things (like stores, medical care, government offices, etc.) adjusting to a new job and/or getting retraining for a new job.

All these things and MORE can be overwhelmingly problematic and they will all be hitting you at once. It may be very tempting to just say “What do i need this for? I’m going back!”

Get through that first year and you will look back and say “I made it” and you will be very (justifiably) proud that you didn’t give up when the going got tough!

And… like I said above – contact Nefesh B’Nefesh. They will help you every step of the way and GREATLY enhance and ease your experience.

Hatzlacha Raba.
