eclipse – “Health,I respectfully disagree with you strongly!
Bedside manners is HOW YOU TALK TO YOUR PATIENTS.
Being abused by the system as you describe cannot affect the way you treat VULNERABLE PATIENTS IN PAIN AND DISCOMFORT.
If that’s what it does to a person, said person needs to switch jobs.
No one needs a doctor that makes them feel worse.”
I wasn’t condoning their behavior, just explaining it.
Like I compared it to abuse, noone thinks the abused child now has a right to abuse his/her own kids!
I also don’t agree with- “If that’s what it does to a person, said person needs to switch jobs.”
In the perfect world, I would agree with you. But there aren’t enough doctors as it is. There are so few doctors that have good bedside manners and are competent. I found a lot of doctors that have a good bedside manner, but just they are soooo incompetent!
Me personally, if I’m the patient, I’d rather a competent physician, who yells, than the sweetist, nicest guy who hasn’t the foggiest what to do! Which one would you prefer?
