Beginning Friday, October 29, 2010 at 6:00 PM through Monday, November 1, 2010 at 6:00 AM the New Jersey Department of Transportation will begin major reconstruction and rehabilitation of the State Highway 9 Bridge over State Highway 70. In order to accomplish this work, several partial and complete road closures of State Highway 9 are planned. The following schedule identifies these closures.

Friday October 29, 2010 at 9:00 PM to Saturday October 30, 2010 at 6:00 AM

State Highway 9 will be closed at the State Highway 70 overpass. Motorists traveling State Highway 9 will find posted detours around the bridge closure using Honey Locust Street, Massachusetts Avenue, State Highway 70 east, Locust Street, New Hampshire Avenue and State Highway 70 west.

Saturday October 30, 2010 at 6:00 AM to Saturday October 30, 2010 at 9:00 PM

State Highway 9 will be closed, north bound only, at the State Highway 70 Overpass. South bound will be open. North bound motorists traveling State Highway 9 will find posted detours around the bridge closure using State Highway 70 east, Locust Street, New Hampshire Avenue and 
State Highway 70 west.

Saturday October 30, 2010 at 9:00 PM to Sunday October 31, 2010 at 6:00 AM

State Highway 9 will be closed at the State Highway 70 overpass. Motorists traveling State Highway 9 will find posted detours around the bridge closure using Honey Locust Street, Massachusetts Avenue, State Highway 70 east, Locust Street, New Hampshire Avenue and State Highway 70 west.

Sunday October 31, 2010 at 6:00 AM to Sunday October 31, 2010 at 9:00 PM

State Highway 9 will be closed, north bound only, at the State Highway 70 Overpass. South bound will be open. North bound motorists traveling State Highway 9 will find posted detours around the bridge closure using State Highway 70 east, Locust Street, New Hampshire Avenue and 
State Highway 70 west.

Sunday October 31, 2010 at 9:00 PM to Monday November 1, 2010 at 6:00 AM

State Highway 9 will be closed at the State Highway 70 overpass. Motorists traveling State Highway 9 will find posted detours around the bridge closure using Honey Locust Street, Massachusetts Avenue, State Highway 70 east, Locust Street, New Hampshire Avenue and State Highway 70 west.

Monday November 1, 2010 at 6:00 AM

State Highway 9 will open to all traffic.

Motorists traveling State Highway 9 in this area during partial and complete road closures can expect significant delays and are advised to avoid the area.

Drivers of emergency and service vehicles will not be able to pass through the work zone during complete road closures and must find alternate routes.
