I used to do alot of hand embroidery: yarmulkes, challah & matzah covers, Pesach pillowcases, etc.
I’m named for my maternal grandmother’s mother, & was absolutely thrilled to find out years later that she embroidered, too!
I have a framed embroidery she did, gotten from the home of my parents, A’H. It’s of a peacock, one of my favorite creatures because of it’s colors & iridescence. It definitely gave me a feeling of connection to my namesake! 🙂
