Multiple media outlets are reporting that that disgraced former NYS Comptroller Alan Hevesi will be in court this morning to be arraigned on charges in connection with an ongoing investigation of corruption in the state’s pension fund.

Attorney General Andrew Cuomo has been investigating allegations Hevesi sold access to the state’s $125 billion pension fund in return for political favors.

Hevesi resigned from office in 2006 after pleading guilty to defrauding the government by using a state employee to chauffeur his wife and run errands.

Disgraced former state Comptroller Alan Hevesi is expected to plead guilty to at least one felony corruption charge this morning in connection with the huge pay-to-play state pension story that has rocked the office he once held.

Sources said Hevesi was due to appear in state Supreme Court in Manhattan at 9:30 a.m.

The sources said Hevesi had been taken into police custody earlier today.

Attorney General Andrew Cuomo has been investigating Hevesi and several of his former top aides including his longtime political advisor, Hank Morris, in connection with kickbacks that were paid by investment companies to gain access to the massive state pension retirement fund.
