Is there something like a Jewish Family Service where you live? Often there are families who cannot afford seforim for their children – new immigrants, etc. They would probably be happy to accept your donation – and other items like tallesim and tefillin.I know that our local service gladly takes these things. I even donated my mother’s 6 week old hearing aid after she passed away.
