Thanks for a great thread, RealBrisker. Over Shabbos, we noticed our son used the word “punkt” and could not recall him using it in the past (which he no doubt has, we just didn’t notice it)
But the real shocker, was my mother, who is as far from yeshivish as you can get. She used the word “grada”, and the table went silent. (This from a BY of Willamsburg 1950’s girl, poodle skirt, saddle shoes, letter on the sweater, the whole bit)
Go figure.
