The Jewish people are particularly sensitive to the long struggle for religious freedom and the ability for people of all faiths to celebrate their rich heritage.
While our Constitution and many laws extend these critical principles to the workplace, unfortunately, it is clear that the more outwardly religious among us are more likely to suffer discrimination, even today in America. This is especially true of discrimination in its more subtle forms: when employers and public entities fail to reasonably accommodate religious practices, such as wearing certain types of clothes, not working during the Sabbath, and dietary restrictions.
Often private employers and government entities neglect to recognize that failing to reasonably accommodate the religious is a form of illegal discrimination. “Hide your faith or don’t come to work” is not an acceptable policy.
As Attorney General, I will be the chief protector of civil rights in New York, emphasizing a special obligation to fight discrimination wherever and whenever it exists, and in whatever form. And New York State’s increasingly large population of the devout religious adherents needs more protection and aggressive law enforcement.
Accordingly, I have called for a special Religious Rights Unit to be established in the Civil Rights Bureau of the Attorney General’s office. The unit will be trained to partner with religious leaders and community leaders to identify and address religious civil rights issues throughout the state. Hopefully, many disputes can be settled through education and mediation efforts. Where necessary the unit will initiate enforcement actions.
The revival and expansion of religion and religious piety among many groups in New York State require an expansion of efforts to handle discrimination.
When I’m Attorney General, the religious will never have to hide their faith to be treated equally.

In short: Clarifying that the ‘Special Religious Unit’ will be led by the [anti-Semitic] Civil Rights Bureau, which will be under the auspices of Al Sharpton.

If we vote for Eric Schneiderman then we will get what we deserve , just like we got when we voted for President Obama.
What Eric is really saying, “I’ll say what ever you want to hear” Mr. Schniederman was the chief sponsor of the Rockefeller Drug Law reforms. This reform made the penalty on drug trafficking less severe. This revision also allowed 1,000 criminals in the prison system to apply for parole. Is this the civil rights leader we want? Where is my freedom? Where is my right to walk down a street with out having to worry about drug violence?
On his campaign website it says concerning these revision, “Eric is transforming the criminal justice system to make it more fair and safe, cracking down on the perpetrators of consumer fraud and protecting the environment”
This is what we New Yorkers need now? We don’t need a left wing Attorney General who gives nothing to Gang Violence, doesn’t care about drug violence, and is more concerned about the burning of the ozone layer, then New Yorkers having food to put on their kids tables.
I am starting to notice the pattern of a radical leftist who graduated from Harvard with the standard Harvard brain washed degree in defending criminals, rather then defending us, the New Yorkers who need it most.
I don’t care what the “Agudah” or any organization leaders
tell us to vote for, the biggest scandal in Wall street history happened under the Democratic watch, and I think its time for a change. I think if these attorney generals would spend just as much time defending the same type of NY’s who lost their life saving on wall street, to defending the civil rights of those incarcerated in the various State Prisons, we would be a lot better off.

Bernie Madoff had been perpetrating his ponzi scheme long before the Democrats came to power (at least this time around). This is neither party’s fault, as there was little to nothing anybody could have done to stop it.
