Yeshiva Bais Yehudah of Detroitcelebrated a Hchnosas Sefer Torah this past Sunday commemorating the legacy of Rabbi Avrohom Abba Freedman ZATZAL. Rav Yitzchak Scheiner Shlita, (Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivas Kaminetz of Yerushalayim) and a close friend of Rabbi Freedman for more than sixty years traveled from Eretz Yisroel to participate in the Hachnosas Sefer Torah. The overwhelming success of the project was largely due to the enthusiasm and support of Mr. Gary Torgow, a former talmid and president of the yeshiva, who initiated the entire undertaking, as well as countless alumni and friends world-wide. YW Editor,
It is a mere 1250 miles from Detroit to Denver. This was in DETROIT and NOT Denver. We are sure Denver has a nice k’hilla but Reb Avrohom Abba Freedman ZTL was from Detroit and NOT Denver. Please correct this on the pictures.
