YWN regrets to inform you of the Petira of R’ Yossi Fogel Z”L, of Monsey (brother of R’ Yehuda, R’ Sholom, R’ Nussie, and R’ Yitzy).
The Levaya will take place on Sunday at 2:30PM at Khal Netzach Yisroel, 47 Forshay Road in Monsey (corner of Orchard Hill Drive).

What happened? I went to yeshiva with him. He was a young man!

I remember him from Camp Agudah (1970’s)
A fine man who yarshined his father’s Z’L legendary smile and simchas hachayim. May he be a maylitz yosher for his family and klal yisroel.
He was nifter from yenah machla. I am close with one of his sons and needless to say everyone who knows him and his family is in great pain. We will be with them through this time and try our best to be mechazek him and the rest of the mishpacha. May Hashem be with them and console them.

Yossi ‘crossed” over into many circles (professionally and personally)and nobody in none of them ever said anything but remarkable things about him–and that’s been part of his dna since toras emes,chaim berlin,st louis,emek halacha,darkey noam etc…he’ll be missed,but hardly forgotten…either as an all around amazing human being or as the candy man @ tomchei,tuvia’s hashkomo minyan and everywhere else he graced with his presence
Yossi A”H worked with me in the Tomchei Warehouse and on the Tomchei dinner soliciting ads. This is a massive loss to the entire Monsey community. May the Aveilim have a Nechama knowing that he did for others, inspired others and was mechazek many people to give Tzedoka and do chesed.
