Kasha, you are mistaken when you talk about “obviously it was not so platonic in the first place.” Of course it was. They started out as friends, and then realized they wanted to change the status to dating, as opposed to just grabbing a cup of coffee with a friend between classes. The IDEAL relationship is when two people who have so much in common as friends, realize their attraction to each other and deepen that friendship into a lifetime commitment. And if you think otherwise, that’s your prerogative, but please don’t project your prejudices onto my family.
