The New York Times did a story in 1997, on the decadence of the wig culture. They included an interview with a famous wig maker, who said “I had a dream to manufacture a beautiful wig for the jewish community, I had a dream when you walked down the street,you wouldn’t be able to say, this young woman is wearing a wig”.
