A 5-year-old was critically injured Tuesday after a 150 kg. metal gate collapsed on him at the Chofetz Chaim Yeshiva in Ofakim.

He was found lying on the ground bleeding, and motionless. Ichud Hatzalah & MDA Medics found the child to be in traumatic arrest, and CPR was initiated.

He was evacuated to Soroka Hospital in Beersheba, where he is R”L listed in critical condition.

Police are investigating the incident for the possibility of negligence.
