It simply is not proper Derech Eretz for a man and woman to hold hands or otherwise affectionately touch in public. It is a strong indictment of our generation, a clear sign of our descent into dullness, foolishness, and blindness, that we can even discuss something so very clear to our Bubbies and Zadies.
