Members of the Flatbush Shomrim put criminals on the edge by sending a clear message. “If you want to steal rims off cars, find yourself another neighborhood”.
On Monday morning August 23 at 4:45AM members of the Flatbush Shomrim observed two males jacking up a car, removing the bolts and then attempted to steal the rims. The members at the scene notified 911, and local police from the 61st precinct responded.
One male perpetrator was immediately arrested while the other one took off. Police found all kinds of car parts in the getaway vehicle. Unfortunately for the runaway perpetrator, he didn’t notice, but left his wallet behind. Just hours later members of the 61st precinct picked him up where he was chosen out of a police line up by Shomrim.
The perpetrator was immediately arrested.
Flatbush Shomrim thanked the arresting officers of the 61 precinct for their swift response.
