Jphone, you are correct about that – but I wonder why the leadership of the teacher’s union (of which my husband is a member(retiree), do not see that all they do is waste educators’ time with these tests (which could be better spent in actual and meaningful teaching), when final exams in June will suffice. IMO, there should be some form of checks and balances to make sure that those final exams are covering the curriculae, and are an accurate measure of the students’ abilities, but regents do not have to be that answer.
