I have a question about the H1N1 vaccine: I’ve heard people say (here & elsewhere) that the H1N1 vaccine is “new”. But isn’t the seasonal flu vaccine “new” every year, since it includes the strains that were prevalent in Asia during the previous spring? In what way is the H1N1 vaccine different from the seasonal flu vaccine, besides that the virus strains are different? Are any other components of the H1N1 different from the seasonal flu vaccine?
