When I went out with guys, they would usually call me directly and if I didn’t want to go out I would have to find a way of getting out from going out. Now while it was very awkward it was usually easier than when a 3rd party was involved because somehow it would cause even more misunderstandings, and this way no one was able to force me to continue or to stop going out because the final decision was always mine.
