The JTA reports that a homemade explosive device went off on Motzei Shabbos night near a Shul in Saratov, a city in the Volga River Valley between Ukraine and Kazakhstan. The fire was extinguished fairly quickly so it resulted in minor damage to the building. It was not known yet whether police had opened an investigation into the incident.
