mw13, the erev rav were not Jewish, they were Egyptians who joined Bnai Yisrael for opportunistic reasons. Are you implying that those chareidim who rioted are not Jewish either? If you are not implying that (and though I disagree with their actions, I don’t doubt that they are Jewish), then your analogy is faulty.
