6:45AM EST: One person was killed in an early morning fire in Flatbush Wednesday.

Firefighters responded to a blaze on East 35th Street off Avenue J just after 5:45 a.m. One person was pulled from the home and died shortly after.

There were no reports of any other injuries.

The fire has since been put out, though firefighters are still on scene to make sure everything is extinguished. There is no word yet on the cause of the fire.
