There were powerful, well-connected mazikei harabbim in the frum community who were only removed due to Jewish newspapers or bloggers. Not everything is to’eles. There is stuff that is lahon hara pure and simple. But when there are people hurting and abusing kids, screaming “lashon hara ” doesn’t fix the problem.
