Monsey: Car Crashes Into Pond; Man & Son Escape Injury

A man and his young son were uninjured when he lost control of his car on Kearsing Parkway and crashed into a retention pond, Ramapo police said this morning.

The 36-year-old father, a resident of Monsey, was traveling west toward Route 306 Tuesday evening when he lost control of his 2002 Buick, police said.

His car left the roadway, spun 180 degrees, and crashed through a fence and into a retention pond, police said. There was little water in the pond.

The driver and his 9-year-old son were examined at the scene by Hatzoloh Ambulance paramedics. They declined further treatment.

  1. This is the second time an accident like this happened, a year ago the same thing happened, the problem is, everyone in monsey is in a rush, they all have to step on the gas, nobody is careful anymore, they have to dart out right in front of you so that the other driver has to jam on his brakes to avoid a collision, what happened with patience?what happened to ushemartem ess nofhshosaychem?did everyone just forget about that? can’t anyone be nice and let people go first? i come out from Blauvelt road every morning to make a left turn onto 306, and not one person will let me make the turn and let me turn first, i always let people go first, listen up people in monsey, relax, you will get to your destination 2 minutes later, is it really worth it to rush and have an accident chalila? really think about it, besides all the children that dart out into the street, slow down. now…….
