(Click on image for exclusive photo) A deranged man stabbed four people – including one Jewish person – in an apparent random attack in Chelsea this afternoon.
The mayhem began shortly before 6 p.m. when the suspect, dressed in a green shirt and black pants, started stabbing and slashing people at West 15th Street and 9th Avenue – just near the Apple Store.
Witnesses say that the man stabbed one random person, and bystanders attempted to tackle the man – and were stabbed in the process as well.
The good Samaritans subdued him until police arrived a few minutes later. Sources tell YWN that 4 NYPD officers were injured while apprehending the suspect.
All victims were rushed to Bellevue Hospital. None of the injuries appeared to be life threatening.
Although it has not been confirmed, one source tells YWN that the man was running from a botched robbery attempt.
A friend of the Jewish victim who is currently in the hospital tells YWN that all the victims are in stable conditions with lacerations.
Additionally, NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly visited the Hospital to visit the officers and all the civilians who were injured.

i work in that apple store. the area is full of bars and clubs so it can get crazy at night but this was early!
Is there any possibility that this was a terrorist attack like there have been in past in Israel?
Why is this turning into a talk about terrorism? This is NYC and stabbings, shootings etc is a way of life in the Big Town. Pre-Post 9/11 come Arita please no terrorist here just a robbery prob that might have gone bad.
BSD Refuah shelema. Usually a stabber is a crazed drug addict who could well have been robbing stores for a fix.
