Let me ask the question from the other side of the token:
Does anyone here believe that the wives should be prancing around anywhere, anytime outside whenever they well please too?
(I’m sure there are folks that do, as we live in terrible times. But it is they that are flaunting the clear instructions in halacha that a wife should be limited in the amout of time spent outside. Regardless of the entire discussion on how limited, how much time. Rambam I guess says once or twice a month, the shulchan orach just says it should be limited, etc.)
