It has already spread to 24 countries and 10 states in the US.
The fatality rate is between 5% and 10 percent with around 165 dead out of 2000 infected (those are not the exact numbers).
Majority of those are from Mexico (about 150) which the medical care available is much less than here in the US (for those in the US). I wouldnt worry to much about it.
It is no more or less dangerous than the regular flu but since it is has mutated and is now airborne it travels much faster and humans have not built up a resistance to it.
They say that older people may be more resistant since it shows many similarities to viruses from earlier times.
As long as your healthy and have good hygeine you should be fine.
