Israel – Gasoline prices around the country will increase by 2.5% at midnight Tuesday to Wednesday, which will result in an increase of 16 agorot per liter of 95 octane. The price of a liter will stand at NIS 6.51, equivalent to $6.71 a US gallon based on an exchange rate of $1/NIS 3.88.
A Knesset committee this week also ruled that 96 octane gasoline (leaded) will no longer be sold in Israel. All production and importing of the gas must halt by September 1st and gas stations will not be permitted to sell the 96 octane after October 1st.
