It’s irrelevant if the “gedolim” approved of it or not. Their past actions of signing things without doing due diligence and then not being held responsible for their actions has caused most people to ignore their statements. If I were them, I would not ban this one. It will not go over well at all. Last I heard they still did not make restitution as they PROMISED in their letter. This time, I would not be surprised if legal action was taken against those that sign. I know I would.
