Mariner, I hate to say this having not been in your shoes. I am a) a woman, b) have stepmother, and c) she married my father when I was myself married. But according to your logic, an adoptive mother can’t have the same relationship either. I really don’t think you mean that, but are reflecting on your experiences and observations over the year, which I do respect.
