I have a book of tehillim with the name of a Guf place to pray for on its cover. It’s vintage.

Someone told me that it was a place and I don’t remember what happened to that place. I think I brought it with me.

Did they sell books of tehillim for Gush Katif?

Are they selling books of tehillim for Amona?

For one thing it’s much much smaller, both in geographic area and in population.

I can’t give you exact figures; maybe another poster wants to provide them.

Or you can look them up and let us know.

Also Amona was already evacuated once about 10 years ago.

There have been other demolitions and evacuations of small hilltop communities, but that one resulted in some famously ugly and violent clashes.

Do those who hate Sharon for Gush Katif now hate Netanyahu for Amona?

Joe -“Is Amona like Gush Katif?”

    Gush Katif was much worse!

The world shouldn’t call it a Jewish State, because their Supreme Court doesn’t espouse any Jewish values!

Amona was not like Gush Katif. Amona residents occupied the site illegally

It’s still so sad! I cry for such people, I mean I don’t know why they moved there in the first place if they knew with our wonderful israeli goverment there is a chance of being evacuated…

What was the meaning in them being evacuated during Parsha Bo?

    Was it the last plagues?

    Preparation for exodus?

Going back and forth with Pharoah? Pharoah telling Moses not to talk to him anymore and then Pharoah ending up coming to Moses?

    What’s up with being over age 30? Why not 25? 18? 35? 22?

“Amona residents over the age of 30 were allowed back to Amona on Friday morning, until noon, in order complete packing up their belongings, according to a report on Rotter.net.”
