What is the correct pronunciation?
Chilent
Cholent is made by the mama in the kitchen on Friday morning with big potatoes.
Chulent is sold thick and heavy at your local gas station late Thursday night.
Chilent is 95% beans and is mostly found in Williamsburg.
Do you want the chasidishe pronunciation or the litvishe pronunciation?

Chili? I say “chuh-lent” and you say “chew-lent” but it’s all good. And it all gives you an upset tummy, no matter WHO you are. Cholent subscribes to a non-discriminatory gastric policy. So shore up your intestinal fortitude and essen, mein kinder!

The only incorrect pronunciation is chew-loont.
Well I think that is the only correct pronunciation.
